This unique necklace made with an antique Chinese silver needle case that women wore around their necks to hold their sewing needles, which were their most prized possession. The needle case is an unusual octagonal shape and is 2 3/4” long by 5/8” wide. I have combined it with beautiful 9 mm natural Chinese turquoise, some larger carve turquoise beads and vintage Tibetan coral beads as well as some old Chinese silver pendants to form a very traditional necklace. The necklace is 26” around and is finished with a large sterling silver clasp, The drop is a total of 7” from the top to the bottom silver hanging piece.
