I found this wonderful piece of old Indonesian silver that originally part of a belt buckle. It is an ornate design with a peacock and floral pattern work into it. I have combines it with some beautiful bluish green tourmalated quartz that are rondell shaped. These beads are somewhat translucent. The pendant is 2 1/4” by 1 3/4” and the necklace is 19" around and is finished with a sterling silver clasp.
The peacock is an emblem of beauty and dignity. The tail feathers used from the Ming dynasty to show official rank.
