These beautiful carnelian drops are carved with two birds facing each other on top of a disk. The color is a reddish orange. They drop 2" from a 18k gold vermeil post.

The bird is highly favored as an auspicious sign. It reflects the Oriental’s love of nature.

At one time only nobility owned carnelian and many times they were buried with this stone. The most highly prized carnelian is a deep red to red-orange color
