This piece of naturally green and brown jade has been beautifully carved with a dragon and a bat on one side and the back of the dragon on the other side. The jade is 2 1/8” long by 1 and 3/8” wide. I have beaded it with a double strand of lodalite barrel beads, faceted lodalite oval beads and jade. The faceted beads catch the light and give this necklace a bit of sparkle. This one of a kind necklace is 20” around and is finished with a 14k gold clasp.

It is also believed to be the guardian of hidden treasures. It represents the spirit of growth and change.
The bat is symbolic of happiness, good fortune, prosperity and longevity. It is one of the best symbols of good luck.

It represents the five principal virtues: charity, modesty, courage, justice and wisdom. From cloudy white to golden brown, light to dark green, to rare lavender, jade is the most highly prized Asian gemstone. Jade has been regarded as the most precious stone for thousands of years. It is believed to protect the wearer and ensure good luck and good health as well as to increase life span.
Lodalite is a type of quartz crystal with inclusions of chlorite, iron oxide and sometimes calcite. It often called garden quartz, landscape quartz since the inclusions of green and brown make it look like a garden or landscape.
