I found these matching old Chinese 15 mm cloisonné beads that have a blue background and gold, red and green flowers. I have topped them with small lapis beads of the same color of blue that is in the cloisonné bead and suspended it from a 18k gold vermeil post with the Chinese character for happiness. It has a 1 1/2" drop from the post.
Cloisonné is a Chinese craft going back to the mid 1400’s. It uses a copper body and wire with inlaid enamel and involves eight steps all done by hand.
