I made these beautiful gem quality tourmaline drops into a double strand necklace. The drops range from 8 mm to 12 mm in length. The shorter strand (18 1/4”) nestles inside of the longer strand (20”). They are varying shades of clear green. The necklace is finished with a large 18k gold vermeil clasp. This is a gorgeous necklace the will look fabulous encircling your neck.

Tourmaline is the birthstone for October. Watermelon tourmalines are green on the outside and pink on the inside. Some stones seem to change color when viewing them from different angles. According to ancient Egyptian legend the tourmaline is found in all colors because it is believed to have picked up all the the colors of the rainbow as they come in so many beautiful colors.
