These large oval labradorite beads (33 mm long by 17 mm wide) are interspersed with faceted golden citrine beads to give the necklace a bit of sparkle. Labradorite has a lot of iridescence and this stone has both green, golden and vibrant bleu lights. The colors show differently in different light. The necklace is 19” long and is finished with a 18k gold vermeil clasp.
Labradorite is a smoky black stone with a lot of iridescence in the intense color ranges of blues, greens and yellows. It comes from the coast of Labrador and Finland.
Labradorite, carries a unique characteristic – it turns sea blue, gold and green in bright light. The darker variety is known as "black moonstone" which has a bluish inclusions. Originally it was found along the coast of Labrador in 1805.
